KDI said it will be taken over by Impala Pacific.

Cincinnati-based KDI Corp., a maker of electronic components and technical products for the defense industry, said Impala, an Australian-owned firm that is based in Hong Kong, already owns 42% of KDI’s stock. It is controlled by Ariadne Australia, a diversified holding company. Under the agreement, worth a total of $178 million, KDI’S stockholders will receive $19.13 a share. KDI’s stock closed at $14.75 a share on the New York Stock Exchange, down 87 1/2 cents.
