Israel Extends Jailing of ‘Ivan the Terrible’

JERUSALEM —
Israel’s Supreme Court today extended until Oct. 1 the detention of former concentration camp guard John Demjanjuk, giving prosecutors more time to find evidence to support the charge that he was the “Ivan the Terrible” who killed thousands of Jews at Treblinka.
