The State Department reaffirmed its July decision to suspend U.S. aid to Zimbabwe, which this week is hosting a summit of nonaligned nations. Spokesman Charles Redman commented after Prime Minister Robert Mugabe assailed U.S. policies in a speech at the summit. The original decision to suspend aid was made after a Zimbabwean Cabinet minister delivered an anti-American speech at the U.S. Embassy’s Fourth of July reception.
