Lomita : Service Award Nominee
The City Council has nominated Evalyn Welly for the Marjorie Thorn Borchardt Award, which is presented to a Los Angeles County woman for outstanding contributions on behalf of the elderly. The award is given by the Affiliated Committees on Aging of Los Angeles County.
Welly, a longtime Lomita resident who has lived in the South Bay for 60 years, is a member of several service groups.
