Norwalk : Meeting on Recruitment
A special meeting of the Cerritos College Board of Trustees is scheduled at 7 p.m. Sunday to discuss the selection of a replacement for college President Wilford Michael, who has announced his retirement effective at year’s end.
The board will meet with John W. Casey, president of Pasadena City College, and James Tatum, chairman of the board of Crowder Community College, in Neosho, Mo., who are assisting the college in its search.
Casey and Tatum are members of the Assn. of Community College Trustees, a nonprofit consulting group, chosen to conduct the search. Search fees are $10,850.
The college is expected to start advertising for applicants sometime this month, said Mark Wallace, director of public information.
More than 100 people are expected to apply.
