When the drive-in teller would not give him his money, an angry bank customer plowed his truck through a plate-glass door at the closed bank so he could talk to the manager.

Police said Wayne Rogers, 38, accompanied by his 2-year-old daughter, went to one of the drive-through lanes at a branch of the First National Bank of Homestead on Friday to make a withdrawal. The teller apparently would not issue the withdrawal because of a check that had not cleared, police said.

Rogers asked to close his account and was told to see the manager. But the bank was closed, so Rogers used his truck to crash through the plate-glass door. He then parked the truck in the lot and he and his daughter were waiting at the manager’s desk when police arrived.

Rogers was charged with criminal mischief and released on his own recognizance.
