Overdoing It

Dr. Karl Neumann’s article (July 27) was most informative . . . but to sterilize a needle by “holding it in a flame for a few minutes”. . . Wow!

I believe this would not only burn hell out of his fingers but would probably melt the needle. I think he meant three or four seconds.

Right?
