A public health advocacy group asked the Food and Drug Administration to order warning labels for a popular arthritis remedy, saying that the drug can be dangerous. The Public Citizen Health Research Group said clinical studies in Canada have shown that elderly patients taking Feldene attain a higher level of the drug in their blood than younger patients on the same dosage, and that this can cause gastrointestinal bleeding.
