Yamaha Motor Co. will build a plant in Georgia.

It will be the company’s first manufacturing plant in the United States and will initially employ 300 people, the Japanese company said. The plant will be located in Shenandoah, a planned community in Coweta County, south of Atlanta. Although Yamaha is best known for its motorcycles, the plant will make golf carts, community transportation vehicles and personal water vehicles.
