Santa Ana : Escort Services Operator Misses His Trial Date

Share

A Superior Court judge has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of a Santa Ana escort service operator who failed to show up Wednesday for his jury trial on pimping and pandering charges.

Judge Myron S. Brown issued the warrant for Richard Blay (Roman) Eshun, 36, whom police arrested last October for allegedly running a prostitution stable.

Eshun, who has pleaded not guilty to 10 felony counts of pimping and pandering in connection with operating Great Company Escorts, has been free on $10,000 bail.

Deputy Dist. Atty. Kenneth O. Chinn said Wednesday that as a result of the bench warrant, Eshun’s new bail has been set at $25,000.

Chinn said he did not know why Eshun failed to appear.

Eshun’s attorney, Allan H. Stokke, could not be reached for comment.

Eshun’s trial date has now been postponed five times since the original April 28 date, Chinn said.
