Americans’ preoccupation with physical fitness shows no sign of letting up, with 51% of U.S. adults claiming to follow a daily regimen--aside from their jobs or housework--to stay in shape, according to a Gallup Poll. This is about the same proportion recorded in surveys over the last decade. One adult in 10 belongs to a health or fitness club, the poll said.
