Dynatem Sees Profits Increase Threefold

Dynatem Inc., an Irvine maker of microcomputers, said that its profits for the fiscal year ended May 31 were $163,433, a more than threefold increase over $48,599 last year.

Revenues for the year came to $2.16 million, up 19.5% from $1.8 million.

George Riggs, spokesman for the company, said that the sharp upturn stems from a licensing agreement signed last year with Rockwell International, allowing Dynatem to manufacture its microcomputer modules based on Rockwell’s design. Dynatem had formerly purchased the completed modules from Rockwell. Riggs said the agreement helped cut the costs associated with the sale of the company’s computer products to its customers, which include RCA and E.I. Dupont as well as a host of smaller companies.
