Andrea Montano Story
My thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Orange County Edition of The Times for the article about Andrea Montano, (Sept. 6). No grandmother ever received a better gift than that bestowed on Andrea of “quality” life. Much credit must be given to the staff of Childrens Hospital of Orange County for their skill and loving care during Andrea’s many crises.
Her choice of an Indian costume was not a childish whim, but a tribute to her Navajo heritage from her father, Seferino.
Andrea wants to become a nurse. It would be fitting in a family with three generations of nurses. There is little doubt that she will achieve that goal. Her courage, determination and love is testimony to the human spirit and its ability to conquer obstacles.
Once again, thank you for recognizing the achievements of this very special little girl.
