Ninety-one striking teachers in Pennsylvania’s Schuylkill Valley school district agreed to return to work, leaving walkouts in 18 other districts in five states that have extended summer vacations for more than 74,000 children. Schuylkill Valley teachers reached a tentative pact with the school board and said they would return to work Monday. The strike, which began Sept. 3, has affected 1,550 students. Teachers in eight other Pennsylvania districts are still on strike.
