Thieves Take $100,000 in Jewelry From Cartier

NEW YORK — Thieves drilled through locks on the front door of a Cartier branch boutique in the Westbury Hotel on Saturday and made off with about $100,000 in jewelry, police said. A security alarm went off shortly after the thieves broke in, forcing them to “leave a lot behind,” police said.
