Realtors Are Correct
We’re pleased to see that the Los Angeles City Council has taken positive steps toward improved protection of human life, “Safety Glass Law to Affect Escrows” (Aug. 24).
The realtors who advocated economical alternatives to tempered glass for patio doors are correct. One of those alternatives, 3M’s Scotchtint Shatter-Resistant Film, costs $2 to $5 per square foot installed. It provides the additional benefit of holding broken pieces firmly in place, and can be used to retrofit any existing window.
Our film is used worldwide to protect against storms, earthquakes, thieves and terrorists. It is an effective safety and security product.
