Golf Purse Increased to $300,000 at Phoenix

PHOENIX —
The Standard Register Turquoise golf tournament has sweetened its purse by $50,000 and will be one of six Ladies Professional Golf Assn. tour events televised on the ESPN network in 1987.
This will be the sixth year for the tournament under various names in the Phoenix area. It will be played March 26-29 at the Moon Valley Country Club.
The purse has been raised from $250,000 to $300,000.
