Share

Diodes reported a loss of $135,475, or 7 cents a share, in the first quarter ended July 31, down from a profit of $47,753, or 2 cents a share, in the same quarter a year earlier.

The company said its sales fell 4%, to $2.8 million. The Chatsworth company said it was hurt by the slowdown in the semiconductor industry and by the costs of preparing to move the operations of its NAE subsidiary from Lynn, Mass., to Taiwan.

Diodes makes rectifiers, or power-supply regulators, used by the semiconductor industry.
