Two hundred youths hurled bottles at police in a weekend melee after a Hollywood Palladium punk rock concert. Three officers suffered minor injuries and five people were arrested, authorities said. The violence broke out among youths remaining outside the Sunset Boulevard auditorium after a concert by the Ramones, said Police Sgt. J.W. Thompson. Traffic on Sunset Boulevard came to a halt as 25 officers moved in to quell the disturbance, Thompson said. Windows of some nearby businesses were shattered, he said. Three officers were treated at the scene by paramedics for minor cuts, Thompson said, and five youths were arrested and booked for investigation of assault and public drunkenness.
