A woman accused of frightening an elderly woman to death by ramming the victim’s garage with a car and breaking into her home was convicted of second-degree murder. Gaye Crim Langley, 41, of Royal Oak, Mich., was found guilty by an Oakland County Circuit Court jury in the death of 71-year-old Kathryn Griffith of Troy. “She (Langley) created such a stressful situation that Mrs. Griffith had a cardiac arrest,” Assistant Prosecutor Joyce Todd charged. She said Langley may have mistaken Griffith’s house for that of a man with whom she was romantically involved.
