Union Lawsuit Challenges Reagan Drug Test Order

WASHINGTON —
A federal employees’ union filed suit Tuesday to block President Reagan’s order for widespread drug testing of government workers.
The 120,000-member National Treasury Employees Union charged in its suit, filed in U.S. District Court, that the executive order Reagan signed Monday establishing the testing program violates the Constitution’s Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable search and seizure.
