Sockers’ Katakalidis Signs for One Year

Socker defender George Katakalidis signed a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. The amount were not disclosed.

Katakalidis will be starting his third season with the Sockers since being purchased from Golden Bay Oct. 2, 1984.

In the 1985-86 indoor season, he had seven goals, eight assists and was third on the club in blocked shots with 39 in 43 regular-season games. He added three assists in 15 playoff games.
