Three childhood vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella; diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis; and polio, usually given three months apart, should be administered at the same time to increase coverage and save time and money, federal health officials said. Citing safety studies, the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta said simultaneous vaccinations would cut down on visits to the doctor.
