Vandals Deface Image of ‘Christ’ on Oil Tank

FOSTORIA, Ohio — What was reported to be an image of Christ on the side of a soybean oil storage tank has been defaced by vandals who threw paint on it, obscuring the so-called image, officials said today. Although thousands of people visited the tank, officials said the image was created by primer and rust stains that were illuminated at night by floodlights.
