Wilmington : Hearing on Waste Plant

Share

On Oct. 23, a Long Beach City Council committee will discuss a developer’s plans to build a hazardous-waste plant just across the city border in Wilmington.

The $10-million plant proposed by BKK Corp. of Torrance has drawn objections from neighboring Long Beach residents. The proposed site of the plant is in an industrial area north of Anaheim Street.

BKK officials have been invited to appear at the 7 p.m. meeting of the council’s Public Safety Committee, chaired by Councilman Ray Grabinski.
