National Triathlon Championship Is Saturday

The Bud Light U.S. Triathlon Series national championship will be held Saturday at Hilton Head Island, S.C. The event, which offers $55,000 in prize money, consists of a 1.5-kilometer swim, a 40K bike ride and a 10K run.

Heading the field in the men’s professional division will be Mike Pigg of Arcata, Calif., ranked No. 1 in the USTA rankings, and Scott Tinley of San Diego, who won the last series race Sept. 14 at San Diego.
