Denmark Team Takes Lead in Cycling Series

Rene Wenzel and Lars Jensen of Denmark racked up a second-day total of 74 points, giving them the overall lead with one day remaining in the Triple Madison Bicycling Series at the Encino Velodrome Saturday.

The Danes lead the overall point total with 107, followed by Americans Ted Kirkbride and Jim Rasmussen with 61.

Rolf Morgan Hansen and Christian Mess of Norway are third with 55 points. The final leg of the three-day event is scheduled for 4 p.m. today at the Dominguez Hills Velodrome.
