Micron Technology is dropping its antitrust suit.

The Boise, Idaho-based semiconductor maker originally filed the lawsuit in September, 1985, against six major Japanese computer chip manufacturers and their U.S. subsidiaries. The company said it took the action because of the recent agreement between the United States and Japan on semiconductor trade. “We are showing our good faith by dismissing the antitrust action,” said Larry Grant, Micron’s general counsel.
