Canadian Drug Offenses Rose Sharply in 1985

OTTAWA —
Significant increases in heroin and cocaine offenses occurred in 1985, the Canadian Center for Justice Statistics has said.
Heroin offenses jumped to 827 last year from 634 in 1984, a 30.4% increase, while cocaine offenses rose to 4,900 from 4,119, a 19% rise, the group said.
