A sharp drop in optimism among business executives in oil-producing states has depressed business expectations for the final three months of the year, according to a survey by Dun & Bradstreet. A total of 1,496 executives surveyed by the business information publisher indicated their outlook for increased profits during the quarter was lower than for the same period last year.
