Gasoline rationing will begin today in Iran, whose oil refineries were bombed extensively by Iraq last month. Automobiles were reported lined up for four miles in some locations to get gasoline. Iranian Oil Minister Gholamreza Aghazadeh announced the rationing, calling it an economic step, Tehran radio said. It was the first time that Iran, once the second-ranking oil producer in the Middle East, has rationed gasoline since the early days of the seven-year war with Iraq. Aghazadeh said stations will sell fuel to drivers only by coupon, allowing 10.6 gallons a month for small cars and 15.9 for big cars.
