Polish Police Summon Walesa

WARSAW —
Solidarity founder Lech Walesa and four of the seven former underground activists who formed a new Solidarity council this week were ordered today to report to police on Saturday for questioning.
The action was the first by communist authorities against the new Solidarity organization. The former underground activists said Tuesday that they would abandon clandestine activities and begin working openly to press for independent trade unions.
