Prudential Gets Rebate for Conserving Energy

Prudential Insurance Co. of America said it received a $10,366 check from Southern California Edison for modifying an energy storage system at its Airport Towers building in El Segundo.
The change has cut the cost of after-hours air conditioning in the Airport Towers by two-thirds since mid-January. It also saved 80,600 kilowatt hours in the first quarter of this year, compared to a year earlier. The rebate represents 30% of Prudential’s investment in the modification, the company said.
