More than a dozen of Orange County’s larger manufacturing companies--including Samco Inc., Anilam Electronics and Matco Machine Tool Co.--will showcase their most advanced machine tool and metalworking technology Wednesday through Friday at the Orcal ‘86--the Orange County Manufacturing & Metalworking Conference and Exposition at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Sponsored by the American Society for Metals and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the annual conference was created in 1978 to keep the county’s industries “current on new advancements in computer-run manufacturing equipment and innovative management concepts,” according to Robert Kian, public relations officer for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers in Detroit.
A variety of seminars and workshops to illustrate uses for some of the new technologies are also scheduled to coincide with the exhibit.
