Surgeons who use everything from laser beams to frozen probes to reattach retinas soon may have another option--super glue. Researchers from Duke University in Durham, N.C., said they have developed a way of using a medical-grade type of commercial “super glue” for the delicate eye surgery. Although the method still is experimental, they said, it has successfully been used in cases in which conventional treatment failed to reattach retinas.
