The West German government summoned Iran’s ambassador, Mohammed Djavad, and warned him against any repeat of the storming of the West German Embassy compound in Tehran, Foreign Ministry officials said in Bonn. Ministry spokesman Juergen Chrobog said that he does not expect the incident to damage relations with Iran. Chrobog said there were no plans to reduce the embassy staff, which includes about 50 West Germans.
