Opening arguments were concluded, and the first witness testified in San Diego Superior Court in Gene Klein’s $33-million civil suit against Raider owner Al Davis. Klein is the former owner of the San Diego Chargers.

The suit charges Davis with malicious prosecution and seeks damages for the heart attack Klein says was brought on by the 1981 courtroom battle between Davis and the National Football League over the Raiders’ move from Oakland to Los Angeles.
