Kidnap victim Hans Kunzli, free after three months of captivity with Muslim separatist rebels on a remote Philippine island, had lunch with President Corazon Aquino at the presidential palace in Manila. The 45-year-old Swiss businessman appeared to be in good health. He was turned over to the government Friday after weeks of talks with the captors, a group led by the pirate Salih Sappari. Authorities said no ransom was paid but would not say how Kunzli’s release was accomplished. A Filipino woman companion seized with Kunzli on July 19 was released a week later to relay a demand for a $100,000 ransom.
