Ailing Weinberger Delays Talks

ISLAMABAD —
Defense Secretary Caspar W. Weinberger arrived in Pakistan for an official visit today but was forced to cancel Wednesday’s program because of a stomach upset.
Weinberger, 69, was recovering from the illness but was tired after grueling visits to China and India, and needed a day’s rest, Pentagon spokesman Bob Sims told reporters.
