Non-diabetic women whose blood sugar levels are mildly elevated during pregnancy face an increased risk of complicated deliveries, a study concluded. The research, conducted at the National Research Council Physiology Institute in Pisa, Italy, and reported in today’s edition of the New England Journal of Medicine, found that women whose blo1868832883of the normal range were more likely to require Caesarean sections or to have unusually large babies.
