U.S. Will Help Train Sri Lanka Security Forces

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka —
The United States will train airport security forces to prevent hijackings and terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, a U.S. official said Wednesday.
Edward Marks, charge d’affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Colombo, said the assistance will be provided as part of a State Department program to help friendly governments combat terrorism.
