Tribune Co. will sell its Virginia cable-TV units.

The company, which owns the Chicago Tribune, said it agreed to sell the cable systems for a total of $100 million. The systems had been acquired as part of the company’s purchase of the Daily Press and the Times-Herald in Newport News. Denver-based Daniels & Associates Inc. is to buy Newport News cable system, which serves the city of Newport News and two local military bases. Cablevision Industries Inc. of Liberty, N.Y., will to buy the Danville, Va., cable system, which serves the Danville area.
