Zimbabwe Prime Minister Robert Mugabe and his longtime political rival, opposition leader Joshua Nkomo, have agreed to merge their parties under Mugabe’s leadership, the state-owned Sunday News reported. Information Minister Nathan Shamuyarira was quoted as saying that Mugabe will formally announce the merger before the end of the year.
