USX and the United Steelworkers set talks.

Talks are set to resume today in Pittsburgh between the steelmaker, formerly U.S. Steel, and the union for the first time since Aug. 1, when a contract dispute shut down plants in nine states. “We know that there’s going to be a discussion,” Russ Gibbons, union spokesman, said. “I don’t know if I’d call it negotiations.”
