Water-Balloon Assault Draws Service Sentence

Two men were placed on nine months’ probation for using a slingshot made of surgical tubing and nylon to launch a water-filled balloon that knocked a woman down. District Judge Richard Kloote on Monday also ordered the pair to perform 50 hours of community service and to pay court costs and medical expenses.
