Iranian gunboats launched their second attack in a week on Kuwaiti shipping in the southern Persian Gulf, hitting a tanker off the United Arab Emirates, regional shipping sources said. They said the 136,000-ton Al Faiha, traveling in ballast to Kuwait in the northern gulf, was struck by an Italian-made Seakiller ship-to-ship missile. Damage was minor, and there was no report of casualties, the sources said. The attack was part of Iran’s effort to stop supplies from reaching its war foe, Iraq.
