An unknown Palestinian group claimed responsibility for the car-bomb murder of a Palestine Liberation Organization official in Athens. An anonymous caller told an international news agency in Beirut that the “Palestinian Revenge Organization-Deir Yassin Unit” killed Monder abu Ghazala, labeling the victim “one of the symbols of Arafat’s gang.” The PLO, whose chairman is Yasser Arafat, identified Abu Ghazala, 45, as chief of the Palestinian naval forces and said the murder was the work of Israeli agents.
