Odetics Reports Rise in Second-Quarter Earnings

Odetics Inc. said Friday that net earnings during its fiscal second quarter, ended Sept. 30, increased 86% to $41,000 from $22,000 a year earlier. The Anaheim-based defense contractor and robotics firm said revenues for the quarter were a record $9.6 million, an increase of 13% compared to $8.5 million in 1985.

For the fiscal first half, Odetics posted net earnings of $73,000, contrasted with a loss of $488,000 a year earlier. Revenues during the six-month period rose 16% to $18.5 million from $16 million in 1985.
