They wore their finest attire and didn’t so much as blink an eyelash for six hours as 300 people admired them. They were 350 dolls on display last week at the fourth Doll Show, sponsored by the Woman’s Club of Temple City.

Two were senior citizens: A 100-year-old French doll and a 120-year-old English doll, shown at left with Florence Thompson, co-chairwoman of the event.

Among the other dolls, which belong to 40 exhibitors, was one inspired by a famous Norman Rockwell painting of a kindly physician applying his stethoscope to his young patient’s doll, above.

Thompson said the event raised $200 from a raffle which gave dolls as prizes. The money will be donated to charities supported by the club.
