The Navy lifted its suspension against Litton.

The action removed the last of its sanctions against Beverly Hills-based Litton Industries, which was suspended from bidding on new defense contracts on July 16. The Navy imposed the suspension one day after Litton had pleaded guilty to a federal indictment alleging that the firm’s Clifton Precision division had bilked the Pentagon of $6.3 million. The Navy lifted the suspension against Litton’s two largest defense contract units in late August and then narrowed it further in late September. The Navy said it is allowing the Clifton unit to resume bidding because Litton had agreed to a series of corrective actions.
